Hazard And Pogba Asked To Donate 25 Goals And Assists Per Season For Madrid

Zinedine Zidane's desire to bring Eden Hazard and Paul Pogba came from Real Madrid's difficulties creating opportunities and scoring goals this season. Hazard and Pogba are believed to be able to fulfill that demand for Madrid, which is just next season.

Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Madrid has never been the same. Los Blancos only rely on Karim Benzema in matters of scoring this season, but Benzema's contribution is still not optimal for the team.

Madrid's need for a capable goalscorer is very well understood by Zidane. He has repeatedly mentioned this problem since returning to the Santiago Bernabeu a few weeks ago.

"We need to increase the strength of our attack line," Zidane told Marca.

Goals and Assists

Pogba and Hazard are guaranteed goals and assists. After passing such a disappointing season, Madrid can no longer wait for the current players to fulfill expectations, Los Blancos must move to bring in new players.

In fact, Pogba and Hazard have collected at least 25 goals and 25 assists between them in the last seven seasons. Zidane believes the combination of both is right for the new Madrid.

At Chelsea, Hazard wrapped up 108 goals in the last seven seasons, also contributed 88 assists. On average, Hazard can provide 15.4 goals and 12.5 assists per season. That is what Madrid needs.

Slick Combination

Pogba didn't score too many goals because of his position on the field, but he was still important. He has collected 65 goals in the last seven seasons, which means almost 10 goals per season.

Then, in terms of assists, Pogba recorded an average of 10.2 assists in the last seven seasons. He can be the general of the new Real Madrid midfield.

Ronaldo's departure means Madrid must divide the burden of 40 goals a season that he once contributed to each player. Pogba and Hazard can do it. Both players are believed to be able to replace Ronaldo's role.
